Phoebe is very curious. She's very energetic and always loves for her cage to be nice and neat.She is also really silly when it comes to exploring. One time she stuck her head in between the couch cushions and had her little legs hanging out. Don't worry I helped her! She loves attention and would be a great hammie model!

Captain Squirt isn't scared of anything and nothing gets past him. He loves to dig, explore, and decorate. He's a survivor. He broke his leg before I got him, but you'd never know (except by how his cage is laid out, and he walks a little different once in a while). He's calm, even when he bites. The only time I saw him visibly upset was when I first saw him at the pet store. His leg was broken, but I was the first to notice. The other hamsters were chasing him and he didn't like it. I know now it must have hurt pretty badly. I told an employee and now he has a peaceful little home, where he doesn't have to defend himself when his leg is having problems. He's a whole new little guy.

Cookie is very bright and alert. She's into everything and likes to know whats going on. She's very much a typical girl because she will occassionaly have her grumpy days where she just wants to be alone. Most of the time though, she's very much up for attention. She seems very in to me and loves me fussing over her. Most days she'll chill in my lap or hand and I'll be stroking her back. You can never stop this until she says, if I move my hand she'll give me a "puppy dog" look until I continue. She can be an incredible nutter at times, usually when she's on heat. She's very quirky and VERY vocal but also very loving.

On the whole, she is quite a demanding Syrian and needs a lot of fuss, love and attention, which makes me very happy . She's very much a Mummys girl and doesn't really like being held by anyone but me. I often get comments about how into me she seems to be. She's the kind of Syrian where you get a wonderful owner/hamster bond.

And I wouldn't have her any other way <3

Thistle only ever wants to be out exploring. She hates being inside her cage, whenever she is all she does is sleep or demand me to get her out. She never 'plays' like the others do and she hates wheels (I think she just hates exercise tbh :L). She will do anything for the attention when SHE wants it, including waking me up in the mornings. If she wants to get out she will do anything it takes. Once you get her out though she will cuddle for about 5 minutes then she runs of to explore. She is also always trying to find something new to snack on including my bedcovers! She loves food more than anything and will demand it 24/7. Basically she rules the roost!

Pippy... well pippy inside the cage is evil and nasty. Any noise she hears, and movement in the cage makes her come shooting out of her burrow shreaking at it with her teeth bared. She hates to be disturbed when she is tired, she will only give you any attention when she is fully awake. Distruction should be her middle name too, she spends any awake time in the cage destroying whatever she can. Shes your friend when she wants attention though. Then once she is out she becomes very shy and scared of everything, shuddering when you stroke her and trying to get away but she isnt nasty. She just wants to hide and be safe on her own.

Truffle and Cookie are both just wild things. They dont like people but they love each other. Truffle is like a laid back parent towards Cookie, he sits by watching him making sure he isnt doing anything daft but he rarely plays. He likes to watch the world go by.
Cookie wants to play all the time, he is always on his wheel or playig hide and seek or trying to jump on Truffles back. He is young at heart, full of energy and much more timid to people than Truffle.

The babies I dont yet know their personalities but I cant wait to start discovering them.

Peanut- very very fast on his feet, he gets frustrated very easily and squeaks to show this so I guess he's hot headed. He can be sneaky at times and is quick to change his mind on something.. like for example he will refuse a treat several times before then accepting it and the same with new toys..
He doesn't like being held for too long, he likes a challenge.

Pickle - Pickle is a very cautious hamster, he will investigate things very slowly till he knows it inside and out.. he is very organised with his food and toilet area. He takes his time with people and when has relaxed enough to bond he loves a cuddle from them. He knows when to be still and will cling onto me when I take him upstairs.

Huxley - Really loving but also can be very independent & naughty, thinks nothing of disappearing on me at playtime for an hour or two I've got used to it now. Wheel obsessed. Can be really lazy at times too. He can be demanding, as as soon as I am anywhere near his cage he is at the door wanting to be out.

Horace - Just a crazy little fast man. Loves nothing more that whizzing around the floor ignoring all the toys I have put out for him. Really loving too.

Hugo - A sweet little shy man. Doesn't mind being picked up but sometimes still seems a tad nervous. However don't disturb him through the day or screeching ham will make an appearance!

Hamlet - My little fluffy boy. Really sweet but feisty too. Will not be held for long. Loves food! Oh & loves to nip my toes when he is out for floortime! lol

Poppy - My beautiful little girly. Loves her cuddles, craves attention but is very independent when she wants to be. Loves her out of cage time. When she is on heat though, she becomes really jumpy & does not like to be fussed.

My girls are all very different from one another.

Lucy is very curious and interactive. She'll always come out (if not sound asleep) and poke her nose and see what's going on. If I put my hands near her, she'll poke her nose at them and try to climb on (and if not, she'll still check what I'm doing). She won't sit still when she's out and will climb anything and everything--she's not particularly acrobatic, but she'll climb anything in sight without regard to safety just to satisfy her curiosity and get closer to me She's got a bit of a syrian nature in her, I think. She's also got a lot of lazy moments when she'll just fluff up in her wheel and snooze for an hour.

Dora is a very laid back hamster, even though she's a robo. She's not even one year old, but she doesn't zoom around very much, preferring an occasional wheel run and more time just laying sprawled out on her wheel or exploring elsewhere in her cage. She's not afraid of me and is just about tame, for which I'm very grateful. Whereas Leela and Lucy need to be social (with another hamster or with humans), Dora is plenty happy to live in her own world

Leela is a definite diva. She always needed to keep an eye on Dora, to see what Dora was doing without her, and to get involved--all the time, which Dora found annoying, I think. She has so much energy, she'll spend all night running on her wheel, making a loop around her cage, running on her flying saucer, and repeating the whole thing. She's very skittish, however, and darts away when I do anything near her. I mostly leave her alone and make sure she has enough toys to entertain herself.

Sandy is my syrian. She's an intelligent little girl and very strong willed. She's independent and loves to explore. She's also very jumpy, almost like an excited rabbit, and she can be somewhat shy too. I get the feeling she's studying me and Matt, trying to figure us out and how to outsmart us!

Astrid is my smaller robo. She's unbelievably affectionate and since the day Gloria passed she has really bloomed. A few days before it happened Astrid became very calm with me and when it happened she really seemed to understand that I was grieving! We've been really close ever since. She loves to snuggle and give kisses, but she also loves to be a hyper little robo! Her favorite passtime is running in the wheel as fast as she can, then stopping and letting it spin her around again and again until she pops out onto the soft bedding!

Pica is Astrid's sister, they're litter mates but Pica is much larger. Pica is an odd little robo. I know she can not tolerate sugar and based on her other symptoms I think she may have diabetes. I suspect that this may contribute to her mood swings. Some days she is very playful and easy going, but most days she is very skittish and can be a little aggressive. She's a very good girl, but she has been challenging to raise.

Harry is very quiet and subdued, almost elusive. He does have the occasional bout of nosiness where his curiosity gets the better of him, but that is usually only when a new food is involved!
