Default Dwarf Hamsters fighting.

Luckie and Saffie have been fighting for the last few days. Now i tried to leave it to see whether it was play fighting. But it persists.

No blood has been drawn. As soon as that happens i will seperate them like i did to my robovski's.

It's odd, they have two wheels! and they spend hours running in the same wheel. TOGETHER They also sleep together. But yet there's still fighting.

My question is whether it's play fighting or actual fighting, whether i should do something now.

i had the same problem with pip and pop i didnt know if it was real or not, but if it looks like a actual fight like one charging at the other squeaking loudly or whatever then it could be an idea to separate... But really i think the main tinme to separate is when bloods drawn but as you said there isn't any blood so i think just keep watching them for a few days but keep a close eye on them
Do they have 2 beds? Also if you dont scatter food already that would be better than a bowl.

I think if one of them looks bullied or unhappy then separate

They have one bed, and they make another bed out of bedding in the open. lol I shall try spreading the food. (Thing is when they are in there food bowl eating together there's no fighting)

Yer your right, i'll keep an eye out for any odd behavior and separate them if need be.

Little rascals

The one that i thought was a hybrid Luckie, seems as though she was the runt of her litter. Very small, and she can't pass solid waste. Normally i'd be alarmed, but it's been like that since day one! and she acts the same everyday! like a little rocket

mine where always like this, i would hear them fight and stop it and then after they would be happily curled up together asleep. It was like this for a while but did lead to one being bitten quite badly and them being separated regardless that in the morning when i found the wound/blood they where again asleep curled up together. Its really your call weather you think they are ok together and take the chance they will be, or separate them now before it gets worse

Hey, Been a while but they have calmed down quite a bit. Happy little cage mates now for most of the day anyway

Instead of starting a new post, i was wondering if russian dwarfs clean each other?

luckie was on top of saffie, and it looked as though she was cleaning saffie's ear. (plus saffie usually has a wet looking back, so im wondering if luckie does it alot).

?
