Quick Handling advice?

Hi all
My Syrian Kit is great to handled never really had any trouble with her.
I get her out of her cage by waiting for her to either walk onto my hands or jump in her bal, sometimes shes takes ages to do this.
Id like to be able to pick her up from in her cage but she gets nervous and walks away when I try.
Iv started by just putting my hand in and stroking her back. Is this the best way until shes not so nervous and then try picking her up or is there another way I can go about this?

mm i find with my babies especially who are now thankfully nice and tame, that when i get them out of the cage, picking them up then putting down, pick up put down pick up etc and occasionally some nice treats, and letting them climb all over your body is good Worked for mine, anyway Mangos getting a bit like this so i'm topping up his tameness now just sometimes get them out then put back in cage with some treats, so they know that if they get picked up nothing bad will happen - infact they get treats !

She already ok with being pick up and down, taking treats and climbing all over me. She a very nice hammie all round she just gets bit nervous when I try and pick her up or stroke her inside the cage.
