My Jenga D.I.Y Toys :D

Ok so i have made some great (if i may say so myself :oops:) toys out of jenga blocks.
i am very proud of them, it was alot of hard work but it paid off in the end!

Thankyou :) they are held together by a NON-TOXIC hot glue gun glue its very strong

Ok i have given smudge the climbing wall and platform and when i (Hopefully) get my new addition she/he will have the bridge and weird bed thing :L

smudge gave it a sniff and went back to bed! typical...

You could turn the last one upside down and it could be some sort of ramp. He can do hammie daredevil tricks then lol.
Very creative and alot cheaper than ready made toys :)

not really! i put a piece of sweet-corn in each of the wheels and they are gone but other than that nope :(

i will see if my new one likes them when we get it :)

LOL, go Smokey! And the spacing between the tyres is exactly hamster-step-sized! Very impressive (better than some shop toys I have seen!!!); maybe you should start a business, selling digging towers and climbing walls?:mrgreen:

Ive got some spare Jenga and I want to do that too but what glue did you use for them? I'm worried about using a particular glue then my hamsters getting ill etc?

I use a glue gun, and the glue sticks that I use to put in the gun are non toxic, I get them from a local craft shop :)

Any ideas for what to make? my brain has gone blank :/

Could you make a sort of bendy rope-bridge, with 2 lengths of string, and some rungs made of 2 jenga blocks glued together, with the string sandwiched between them near each end? don't know about the weight of jenga blocks tho; would string hold several of them?? Will try to think of other options :)

Home Bargins have glue guns for £1.99 for anyone that needs one ;) I got one today and ran out of sticks when I only had 1 bit left to do! Made a bridge thing with some stairs :D

Is there any other glue I could use that is strong enough? I don't have a glue gun, would pva work?

I haven't tried PVA with any jenga, but i dont see why it wouldn't work! :D

But it might be a lot harder as you would have to wait for each part of what ever you are making to dry :/

I also got a box of similar to these called towering blocks,but dont have writing on and came from my local charity shop. Ive spent plenty of time building and unbuilding, but keep putting them back in the box as i dont know what glue to use on them. I found another boxful yesterday but didnt get them as they were just made of plastic!
