My daughter's lovely, cheeky little syrian hamster has passed away peacefully overnight.
She's been failing over the last couple of weeks and rapidly went downhill in the last 2 days. She was very poorly yestaerday, although the wee soul was still trying to eat and was drinking small amounts when we held her bottle to her. I thought we were going to lose her yesterday.
She had some last cuddles last night, as able, and we told her that it was okay to go now. We put her back in her favourite little house where she curled up and went to sleep. That is where I found her this morning, still curled up and peaceful.
Sadly, I think this will be our last hamster for a while.
R.I.P. little one. Run to find Fluff and the rest of our hamsters past at the bridge. Sleep and play well. We will really miss you. XXXXXX
