Hamster of the Month - August -POLL NOW ADDED

It's a new month so we have to choose the 'Hamster of the Month' for next month. The winning hamster will appear on the front page of the forum so when someone comes on to the forum they will see the picture. :smile:

So it could be YOUR hamster who becomes famous. :grin:

1. This competition is for the August Hamster of the month.

2. You may enter 1 picture and this should be accompanied by a few lines telling us a little about you hamster and why it should be chosen.

3. The picture should be clear and as charming as possible

4. The picture must be of a hamster of any species and it must belong to you or your family. It may be with you now or have passed to the bridge.

5. Closing date for entries is Monday 26th July.

6. The voting will be posted and the new pic will be displayed in August.

7. Please try and post a new photograph that you have not entered in a previous competition.

8. It may be themed if you wish and August has holidays, sunshine and summer.

Please do not post any comments on this thread and only post entries. PM me with any queries. If you cannot post pics then e mail me the pic and I will post it on your behalf.

Hes 9 months old this month, a complete cheeky loon and his favourite hobby is climbing my curtains. I'm hoping to take him to great alne show the week after next :)
I think he should be chosen as he kindly posed for the camera even though i was disturbing his wash!

Morris, a quiet chap at first, but he was just misunderstood! All he wanted was a 3 foot long tank to play in and a nice big wheel!

This is Nibbles, he is 19 months old today and is having surgery to remove a toe on his right paw that has a lump that dramtically increased in size yesterday.

Were all missing him, and wishing him a speedy recovery.


(actully the lump is just visible on his paw in this picture. You can see it seperating his toes just to the side of his left paw.)

This is Sprout.
I have had him for a year this month and he is my oldest hammy :)
He wants to win because...well...he doesn't really, he's a lazy old man who sleeps for 22 hours a day.
However, I think he should win because he is the lovely daddy of the Spradows and is the tamest hammy ever :)

If you reeeally want people to vote for him, next month try taking a ton of pictures of him so you'll get one that's really clear. You want your picture to be clear!!! Its hard cuz hamsters don't like to stay still, hehe

No this contest will not have a theme I'm afraid nor be photoshopped because that is not fair to people who do not have that facility and have hammies who will not pose or props etc.
We may do the odd themed one and photoshopped one through the year. If you care to look through the competition threads you will see we have done lots in the past and there are some lovely pics :)
