At what age does a Syrian reach full growth? I had it in my head it was 8 weeks but looking at my 7 week old not so sure it can be unless she really puts a spurt on this week!

I would say they are not full size till at least 4 months, usually 6 with some tending to get a little larger even after that. females are sometimes bigger after a litter too.

Ah thank you, that would seem to make more sense as she looks to have a long way to go to me. It's amazing how much dodgy info is out there, I double checked where I read it and it did say 8 weeks!!! I can stop worrying she's a midget then :D

Some hamsters are always small but the size at 8 weeks is really unusual to be the biggest a hamster will reach. Give her plenty of complex carbohydrates and protein rich foods and she will hopefulyl continue to grow for sometime yet.
