Humphrey has gone to the bridge

Just got home from animal hospital, Humphrey had been doing fine on his antibiotics, and suddenly this evening, he went drastically downhill, lethargic, cold and wobbling from side to side. He looked so sad and exhausted, the only thing I could do was let him go, but I'm devastated. :(

At least he's at peace now and will have met lots of friends at Rainbow Bridge.

Thanks again; thankfully he wasn't ill really until today, just a few squishy droppings, which the vet prescribed antibiotics for, and he took them really well for a week, and remained his lively, funny self all the time, eating well and running on his wheel, so I thought he was almost totally better, but suddenly today, he was out of his igloo early, and I found him looking really poorly. He was such a brave little boy with the vet, but once we were just us 2 together, he closed his eyes, and couldnt move any more, so I knew he had to be allowed to go. My first lovely hamster, who will never leave my heart.

Thanks; these little furry friends steal our hearts don't they? Humphrey has definitely taught me to love hamsters, so I'll stay around HC until I'm ready to adopt again in the future.

Ok..i know this is crazy but last night Humphrey was in my dream! I have only seen him in your picture and i havn't exactly studied it closely but he was!

I was in a wood..with gizmo's cage and i was cleaning it out..i opened up the tube and saw your lil guy just sat up on his hind legs! I asked him what he was doing there and he wasn't meant to be. He stepped onto my hand and i lifted him down to the ground where he stood up, sniffed the air and ran off into the woods :)

I have no idea where it came from and i swear it is true..my boyfriend asked me who humffle is because i said it in my sleep lol

so i believe he is happy :) x

Wow; he must have known you were an HC friend, to stop and say hello on his way to the bridge, and "humffle" sounds so cute! Thanks for posting that, it does sound like he's happy, and active again - that makes me happy too :)
