you can over boil rice, really really over cook it then mush it down and it will become a bit sticky, probably enough to help moisten and stick down paper yet dry held together

after all you can use water to some extent as long as using something very absorbent like toilet paper or kitchen roll

Oooo when I make Sushi I might use some of that rice, and make a ball hiding some treats!!

Water + Toilet roll.
It's that simple, takes a whiles to dry but when it does it's solid.

you can also try wholemeal flour and water aswell. It wont decay and smell as bad as the rice and is also very safe for their digestion.

I didn't know you could use water and toilet roll. O_o

If you're going to make very small things I suppose you could use honey or somting? Don't know how it would affect paper but it's sticky.

Question.... I keep hearing toilet roll.... just to be sure.... is that talking about the paper on the roll or the roll itself? Sorry I'm dim... :/

The paper. The cardboard roll itself would be too thick to make mache.

-chuckles embarrassedly- I just kept seeing it and it made me wonder.... you know, the whole different way that people say things.... I mean, all I ever hear here is toilet paper and paper towels.... Dunno.... thanks though.

Although, I guess if you were determined you could soak the cardboard for a while... :/ dunno though...

Generally toilet roll tubes are used in reference to tube-type-things. But if it's for bedding type things we mean the paper :)

You're not dumb, it's better to ask and get answers that not be clear on what is being discussed. And who knows perhaps others had similar questions and you asked them for them. :)

You've just reminded me- when people said you could make things for hams out of loo roll I did this but used the actual tube and got really confused when it didn't work- then I realised that everyone meant the paper!:oops::mad: >.<
