View Full Version : Cage set ups

These are two of the cage set ups that I currently have. The glass vivarium set up is still under development and will house 2 White faced Robos when complete. Bottom layer for hiding, sleeping and chinchilla dust bath, middle layer for feeding and top layer will accomodate 2 4.5 inch silent spinner wheels.

The Wooden cabinet houses 2 Agouti coat Robos.

I like both of these. They look great - actually remind me of dolls houses. Did they take long to sort out?

They look great! What interesting looking cages! I love 'em!

wow! even more great cages :)
i'm hoping to win a big cabinet tonight! Which my grandad (who i now love more then ever) is willing to help me renovate.
But thankyou so much mick for your wonderful ideas, you truly inspired me to try it :D

No problems Mel. Glad i can be an inspiration. Good luck with the cage building.
Suga, the wooden cabinet took me about 2 hours to modify, Its 3 feet long, 18 inches deep and 21 inches high. It certainly gives my Robos plenty of exercise.

dark wood effect cabinet and tv unit set good condition on eBay (end time 16-Apr-10 22:01:36 BST) (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170472754099&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT)
it consists of not only a tv cabinet but a huge wall cabinet too!
I won it for 2.75 XD i'm so happy!

i say it, i should say them ^_^

That should do the trick Mel. Good luck with the conversion and I must say, You've got a bargain there. An essential DIY tool will be a Holesaw attrachment for a drill from B&Q. Take a Rotastak tube with you so you get thevright size.

i'm thinking of using ramps instead of tubes. Since i'm now selling my rotastak tubes!
So i would cut a square with a jigsaw i think?
Then big squares to mesh for ventelation.
oh and possibly add a hinged door frame, meshed for the places that don't have doors.
My grandads going to be getting a whole lot of requests :D Luckily he likes doing this sort of thing!
