I just have a question about mating...I will probably not attempt it due to the fact that Nevaeh hates Punkin. The first time I let them near eachother she tried to take a bite out of him. But if I were going to mate them is there anyway I could get around the aggressive side of Nevie. If I put their cages next to eachother and she smells him, she makes some sort of hissing sound, or clicking sound... He is very docile and usually ends up trying to back off my hands to get away from her. Would I ever be able to mate them?

I would doubt these two will ever produce offspring together sorry. Further attempts to introduce this pair could lead to some serious fighting and possible bloodshed. If you would like to breed then you need at least a new female, preferably from a good private breeder, young and robust, and a similiar unrelated male for the best results.

I think keeping the cages close together is a good idea. She may not like the scent but eventually I think she would get use to it. She might not be so aggressive if you placed them together around her estrous.

Hamsters come into estrous ever four days. You may notice that your female hamster becomes stiff sticking her tail up and widening her legs when you stroke her back. Estrous usually lasts 10-12 hours.

At this time the female should be placed in the males cage. If mating does not occur in 5 to 10 minutes or there is aggression take the female out of the cage. You may continue this for four days each night during the females estrous.

Thats from the Hamster central breeding section, you might want to read it a bit. http://www.hamstercentral.com/breedinghamsters.htm

Are we talking about syrian hamsters?

Unfortunately this only really works with Syrians, so not much use in your situation, but great advise for anyone wishing to breed Syrians nonetheless.

Campbell's Russian Dwarf Hamster breeding pairs are best set up pre-sexual maturity. Females of this dwarf hamster species are a bit more discerning about the "genetics" they will mate with than Syrians who are more interested in perpetuating the species

No, they are not Syrians. Nevaeh is a Normal Campbell's dwarf and Punkin is a "Red Eyed Argente"

also...I would it be a good idea if I took Nevie out and let Punkin run around in her cage so she could get used to the smell?

and Thanks for all the advice! :D

You could try swapping them into the other's cage for two days, then back again and then try breeding again, but don't get your hopes up too high :(
