Hello, everyone. I thought of sharing a bit of perspective on my former cage, the Kleintierheim Gonzales normal version.

As I've bought mine in a pet store in Fressnapf, it may come in a box to protect it or disassembled

The Kleintierheim Gonzales normal version is 76cmx44cmx48cm, it comes with two wooden platforms.

The wire bars on this cage is about 7 mm, but more of an 8mm or so. The cage comes with two large door openings, one on the front and one on the top. There are also two clips holding the cage tightly which is surprisingly durable.

There is a larger version of this cage and if you'd like to buy one, here is the link to it.

My positive points for this cage would be
- A spaceous cage.
- A decent starter cage
- The base is a bit deep so beddings can be used
- Provides wooden platforms to allow more toys to be added
- As well as attach things to the cage due to being a barred cage

My negative points for this cage would be
- The four corners of the sides often have quite a larger opening, which might make roborovskis easily squeeze through.
- The cage is a bit high in my opinion.
- No handles

Thank you hellobg! That is a great review. The cage is also called the Skyline Speedy Gonzales on Amazon.de I think, and there's a version without the shelves called the Borneo (which Cypher has). It's probably the only cage with 7mm bars and a large front opening door. I was quite excited to see the link to the shop where you got it, but sadly they only ship within Germany. The Amazon sellers no longer ship to the Uk either (since Brexit!) but they are available on ebay from some sellers (takes some careful searching).

Is your cage for a dwarf hamster or a Syrian? I agree it is quite tall and there can be fall risks. That can be got round maybe. With the two shelves, if you have them at the same height you could almost make a full extra level, with the ladders sitting across the shelves at each end as kind of joining strips and something else for acess up to the level :-)

Hi Serendipity7000!

The cage was for my hamster Toria, which is a Djungarian Hamster.
There is a pet store called MaxiZoo which seems to be related to Fressnapf. I thought of the Borneo as my cage too and I was like "Hey, that's my cage!" except it was missing shelves and the shelves that you have to buy it with are quite different.

Nice review. It could be very useful for those looking to get a cage for their hamster.

Does MaxiZoo ship to the Uk do you know? It's a pain that a lot of cages that used to ship to the Uk quite cheaply, now don't at all. I agree - it's better with shelves!

I don't really know, they seem to have shops than online shops and they're only based in Ireland I think.
