I woke up this morning to find that my little robo Joey had passed away in the night, he was curled up very peacefully on top of his bedding.

I got him in May 2015 and he was from Pets At Home adoption so I'm not sure how old he was, but he definitely a good run.

I am terribly sorry to hear of your loss of Joey. What an adorable picture of your sweetie! He was a wonderful little one who had such a loving, long life with you, Barley. Thankfully, his passing seemed quite peaceful. Play well and have tons of great adventures at the Rainbow Bridge. You will live on in the hearts of all those that you touched over the years. You get so used to seeing and hearing them, that silence can be hard. He really was such a cutie.

Sadly, that silence can be deafening and make the loss of Joey all the more real. He was so cute and the absence of the routine of him being up and about in his cage must be truly hard. Hopefully, things will get easier as time passes. You will still have your ups and downs emotionally, but that is natural and expected. May time heal your broken heart, and may the memories of him allow you to focus on the good times and eventually put smiles on your face. Hugs to you, Barley! xxx
