My 18 months old white dwarf Enzo passed away suddenly last night.
About 2 weeks ago I saw him limping about, having difficulty in getting through his tubes. I still have another dwarf, his brother Ezra. I moved water bottle and food to the 3rd cage, so he won't have to make a long trip to eat. With time he got better and was walking again quite well. He has lost some weight. Yesterday afternoon he went to a little walk in his ball, but not to his favourite place in my bedroom. He stayed local. At about 7.30pm he moved towards my chair and parked himself.
I took him out, with view of putting him in his cage for his 'meal'. He seemed OK at first, but than became erratic and stayed still. Not to be too graphic h died at 8.30 pm. Buried him next to his 2 brothers who died suddenly at the young age of 13 months.
I now assume that he had a stroke initially and another one last night.
I am very sad, as he was such a nice little chap.
Now his surviving brother Ezra is by himself. He was the smallest of the four brothers i got in September 2015 from a reputable breeder. but, they have lived the shortest lives of the 15 dwarfs I have had so far.
