My special light grey banded syrian Tiana died last week, only had the courage last night to clean out her mamble 100 :(

I'm going to miss you so much baby girl, you were such a great cuddler and a fantastic friend.

This is what is so hard about owning them! I missed my Syrian hamster, Bubba, so much I wrote a poem for him after he passed away. I have kept it all these years. He passed away in 2004. Here is my poem.
To Bubba

Bubba, my Buddy, my "little bear"
You shared my apple
My banana, and my pear.
And so brightened my life
With your black eyes
And blond hair.

I slept to the sound
Of your squeaky wheel
You running for miles
With breath-taking zeal.
By dawn, you were hidden
Till I brought your first meal.

God gave you to me
For only a year,
And you died in my hands
While I held back my tear.
How I loved you, my Bubba
And wish you were still here!

My heart goes out to you in your loss of your special friend.

So sorry for your loss pixiehollow, it's always so sad to lose such a good friend but I'm sure she enjoyed a wonderful life with you, cherish the memories as she lives on in your heart.
