Hank: My last Stansie

It's with great sadness to announce that our lovely old boy Hank has recently left us. I think he was the last hamster from a litter of 17 babies I called The Stansies (http://www.hamstercentral.com/community/breeding-hamsters/44159-stansies-pics-15-08-2013-stan-rosie.html) (born 15/08/2013) so he reached a really good age, and he was the longest living hamster we've bred here at Leeds Hams.

Here is my favourite picture of him we did for Easter a couple of years ago, and he was so laid back and posed for me (and didn't try to eat any props!)

Right into old age he still had a thick coat and long skirt, which I gave a trim every now and again so he didn't get tangles.

A beautiful boy & such a lovely photo to remember him by too, it's very sad to lose a ham who's had such a long & wonderful life with you, even more so to see the last of your litter gone to the bridge.
I'm sure he has left many special memories to cherish.

I'm sorry for your loss, but Hank is not the last Stansie. Basil is 3 years old today :-)
