Here are some pictures of Rocky and Rolo at last.

They're both totally different but Rolo is very fat which I assume is why he seems so much bigger than Rocky. I'm sure he'll lose weight now that he's got a wheel.

They are both rehomes and had nothing to do in their cages before. As a result Rolo's fat and Rocky chews the bars a little but the more I give him to do and flick the bars when I catch him doing it, the less he seems to do it so fingers crossed he'll get out of the habit!

I think they're 'bog standard' pet shop russian dwarves but thought I'd ask your advice as you guys know hamsters much better than I do! Rocky's colouring is quite unusual (and very pretty!) although it doesn't come across very well in the pictures. He's a sort of husky (like the dog) colour...

(trying to upload another one that shows his colour but my computers having a daft half hour)

They're getting used to me now and will voluntarily come out of their cage (I left them for a while but kept putting my hand in to get them used to me). They really come alive in the evenings and I have decided Rolo definitely needs a silent wheel!

I got them a ball to see if they'd entertain the idea (I've heard a lot of hammies don't like them) and they love it! They don't want to come out afterwards!

being from a pet shop, they'll be hybrids, but they are in fact more winter white looking than Campbells.

Thanks for that :)

After reading a bit more I realised they'd be cross breeds but wasn't sure which they were more like. I don't know if they were litter mates but they both seem so different size and colour wise.

I thought Rocky looked more WW than C after having a brief look online - I can't describe his colouring at all - it's not like a husky colouring, it's really odd like almost golden in areas. The nearest thing I can find online is agouti pearl...

Thanks for the help!

the 1st one is a sapphire winter white colour and the 2nd one is a normal winter white colour (normal just means the wild colour). Neither are pearl, which would be a white animal with stripe and flecks of either normal or sapphire.

I agree with Bunsey they look more like WW's than Campbell's. As already mentioned though, they are probably hybrids. I don't really see any Campbell's though, but you can't tell by looking at them really. They are the most non-hybrid looking hybrids I think I've seen. They sure are cute little boys!
