DIY hamster hideout [Archive]

I created this yesterday for my Syrian, Bert. He was in need of a new hideout but the ones at the shop nether seem big enough, so I made one. All credit goes to Rigby and Me, I made mine slightly different to hers to suit my needs but it is a great tutorial and I thought I would share it with you :)

Thank you, I found the toadstools on ebay they were £8 and you got 8 of them so I didn't think it was that bad of a deal, I actually found the bowl after I got them so I had to buy it so they matched :)

Brilliant, thank you! I never think of ebay. I think it all looks so nice as your the toad stools and bowl go so nicely with your paper choice. Very interior designy! :) like a hammy Grand Designs :D

Yeah its such an easy diy and you can change it to how you want it. Just make sure the paper you use is safe :)

Thanks, but it is not my Video, its not me haha. its the tutorial I used to make mine. She is a really good youtuber though. :)

Can I make this with just regular school glue? I don't have a hot glue gun.

Hey sorry for late reply, if you still don't know school glue is safe as long as it says non-toxic on the bottle most of them are anyway as they are used by young children :)

Guess what? I did it! Used the school glue and came out great. It's going to be Scarlet's X-mas present. :wink: She is going to love it :p I changed it a whole bunch! Just used the basic directions but changed how it comes out and would look. :-s Look at what I posted in the DIY section (same as this) and the directions are there. My thread is called, "DIY 2-story hamster hideout". Hope you like it! BTW, there is a pic attached on the thread but here is another pic of it anyway :eek:

So sorry for such a late reply I haven't been on here in a while, unfortunately my little Bert passed away from old age so he didn't get to use it much, but in the time I'm which he did he loved it. :)

Thank you, I do have another ham now who doesn't seem to like hides and likes to sleep behind her wheel instead :rolleyes:
