I just received an internet order and they were out of some of the stuff I wanted, instead of hamster treats they sent me these:

They're for rabbits, and I know as a rule we're not supposed to feed anything that's not for hamsters, but since the pet store sent them as a replacement, I wonder if they're ok. What do you think, can I feed them or should I send them back? If anyone needs more details I can post the ingredients.

hmm, i don't think i would, no. I'd be a bit wary anyway, with it not saying ok for hamsters and also the picture makes it look like the filling might be liquidy, which is not good for pouches.

Thanks Bunsey, I was kind of thinking the same thing. Goodness knows why they sent them to me! I'll contact them and ask for a refund/replacement.

I would avoid them too. Although you do get some treats suitable for rabbits and hamsters at the same time, those ones don't seem to be. A refund sounds like a better idea!

A bit late of a response, but I wouldn't feed them either. I don't feed any store bought treats like that to my hams. If it says "cane molasses" in the ingredients (which Vitacraft almost always does), then I don't give it. Most of those treats are just like candy!
