My sweet little Victini

This past Saturday was a very difficult one.

My Chinese hamster, Victini passed away in my hands. She was such a shy and sweet girl.
She was so shy that when she did come out and I was able to hold her it was such a treat!
She loved making tunnels in her bedding. She ran so much that she actually broke a silent spinner wheel.. it was quite impressive.

I knew she was getting older and this time would come. I know she had a long healthy happy life with me but I still wish she was here.

Her tank is still out, with her toys and her nest.. I still can't bring myself to clean her tank out.

I was lucky enough to have her with me for 2 and a half years.

I know she found the rainbow bridge, and I hope she's found herself a nice corner to nest in and nibble on treats.

This is so sad, she was such a gorgeous girl & it never failed to bring a smile to my face when you shared your photos & stories of her with us. She must have a very special place in your heart & I'm sure she will be missed very much.

Chinese hamsters do tend to have something special and I can imagine how you feel as I lost my female a while back and her passing really hit me hard because we had such a bond. Victini looked like a special little person and you both had that special bond, I can feel that just by reading your words.

Having had a Chinese hamster, you will know what they are like as characters now and if I were you, I wouldn`t keep the cage empty for too long as I`m sure Victini would want another Chinese hamster to share the same love you gave to her. Very sad for your loss but she will always be remembered. x
