I am far from a regular to this forum these days, but when one of my little hams passes I feel the must have a memorial like all of the others, so here goes...
This time I am sad to be writing about my dear little robo Whiskers (aka Whiskies).
Whiskers came to me through the PAH adoption area. I popped in one weekend, and saw this sad little robo curled up under a log bridge. I rushed home and fetched a cage from the loft, quickly got it ready and returned to the store to bring you home.
You were aged 5 months then, and stayed with me for 2 years 1 month - a grand age for a little robo.
You were never really keen on being handled, but I didn't push it. You occasionally let me have a little stroke, and enjoyed taking mealworms from my hand - but you soon told me when you had enough!
You were fond of me though, I know that. I only had to say your name and you'd come running out of hiding to say hello. I even had a little song that I sang to you..."they call he little Whiskers, quite rightly..." (to the tune of Mellow Yellow!)
I was always surprised how something so little could have some much personality. What you lacked in size, you made up for in attitude! A sassy little girl, who enjoyed life with gusto. I miss seeing your little personality every day.
I really do miss you little whiskies. I hope you rest in peace, and really hope I get to see you again some day xxxxx
