There is a new star in the heavens now. My Ted E Bear. :-(

I found these beautiful paintings by James Warren. I actually wrote to him asking if he could do one for small pets like rabbits, gerbils, hamsters, birds, geckos, etc. I hope he does.

But for now these two are such lovely scenes of the Rainbow Bridge.

May my pets who have gone before meet my little man tonight and escort him over that bridge. :cry:

The stars shine brighter in heaven and I used to do something on another Hamster forum when I knew the Hamster sorta well and I wish to do this for you and feel free to copy this and keep it for those days of Memories.

I saw you at the rescue so long ago,
A furry fluff with fur so Gold.
I brought you home and gave you a name,
Like a Teddy Bear you gained great fame.

You loved to run in your play pen room,
I laughed as you began to groom.
You always came running up to me,
When I called your name you asked to be picked up please.

You grew old and lost some fur,
But you were my Ted E Bear in the tubes you were a blur.
I always offered treats galore,
But as much as you got you always wanted more.

I said good Bye just today,
You were called to the bridge to romp and play.
My eyes are crying, my heart aches so
But I knew in my heart it was your time to go.

Dear Mommy please don't cry for long,
Give light and love where once I belonged.
A new furry friend I ask you to get,
A orphaned Hamster for a new furry pet.

I'm up here where the wheels don't squeak,
with food, and water and endless treats.
I see you down there so sad with tears,
I'm happy and healthy so have no fear

I'll always be your special friend,
Your beautiful wonderful Ted E Bear forever no end.

DrKMcK, I am so, so, so sorry. Your memorials both brought me to tears. I was so sad to come online this morning and see your loss. Ted E. was a true heart ham for you, and such a special boy. He is at the rainbow bridge, loving everything, and I bet Toffee was there with open arms to hug his big brother and welcome him up. I bet Patches thinks he's quite the handsome fella.

What beautiful poems and thoughts for my Ted E. Bear. I am really missing the little man. I woke up a while ago and found myself listening for his routine of cleaning his bedroom out. I didn't realize how much I'd miss the rattling sound of food husks and poops flying down the tube from his bedroom. Little guy had me well trained. Nutmeg is up right now, she just woke up. It helps to have her because she looks so much like my Ted E. But neither she nor Almond are as laid back and easy to have out and about as my little bear was. I know it takes time but I wish so much that we had more time with them. :-(
