That is one of the roughest ways to lose a pet. It's also a horrible loss, but we have to sit back and think, oh....? BOTH animals were not doing anything wrong???? But?????How???

It's horrible when it happens. As I mentioned in your other thread, traumatic. It really is. Take care of yourself, remember the animals were simply following their instincts , their hardwiring....

I'm always of a mind to replace a lost pet quickly, but everyone is different. There's nothing wrong if you did feel you wanted to have a furry ASAP....things like this are without warning, and graphic to even think about it... :(

Keep us posted, many of us have been through such things :(

I have experienced this same happening and it was indeed a shock. May Emerald play well at rainbow bridge and don't be too upset with Kitty as they only thought they were doing right and not wrong.
