I am attempting my first bin cage and need some tips on what to use to cut the plastic windows out with? I bought a 110 QUART Sterilite brand clear bin. Any tips, tricks or links to guides would be much appreciated!

I used an angle grinder with a 1mm cutting disc to cut my bin for meshing. Then used a small drill bit for the holes for the cable ties. Some people use hand saws, soldering irons, jigsaws (risk of plastic splitting / cracking), sharp utility knife or dremel type tool with cut off discs.

I used an angle grinder when i was meshing the lid. I then used the knife to cut any sharp edges.

Best way i think. A knife peels away the rough melted plastic the angle grinder causes. It leaves a fairly smooth edge and can be smoothed with sandpaper if needed.

Sounds good...thanks. I was thinking of buying a hot knife to try out, I'm sure I'll use it for other future crafts

As I lack luxuries such as an angle grinder, I left the bin the way it was and just covered the top with mesh and cut a hole in the mesh for a top opening door.
So if you lack the tools, this is an easy alternative :)
