My wife bought some chocolate teacakes. We had to eat them as I wanted the tin to use as a hamster toilet. It is from M&S.

I also made a walnut treat holder.

Ginger has already tried her treat holder and took treats out. I have only just put potty litta' in the tin and put it in the cage.

Very nice, Ian - did you buy your walnuts recently as I'm struggling to find whole walnuts at the moment, I'm waiting for the Christmas nuts.

The teacakes were lovely and having to scrifice eating them just for the tin was, mmmmmmm good. lol. The tin of teacakes was £6. A bit dear but worth it. ;) The tin is a lovely blue metalic. When the lid is on, it looks like a teacake. The lid is a snug fit. It just pushes on and you have to work your fingers around it to open it. Nicely made. I have put potty litta' in it for the loo. If she does not use it, I will fill it with sand. I know Ginger loves going in the sand box.

The walnuts were whole and in an indian food shop called Pak Foods. It is the only place around here that was selling them. There was only 6 on the shelf. I dont know when there will be more. Might not be until xmas.
I had to cut them with a hacksaw to make sure they didnt break. I had 4 but two halves broke apart. One when I drilled it and another when I cut the walnut in half. Ginger was climbing it earlier getting the treats out of them.

Hopefully Ginger will use the potty litter Ian :)
Mine use litter to pee and sand to bath, they never pee in their sand and I like the idea of keeping the bath and loo completely different, after-all I wouldn't want to bath in my toilet lol

This is true.
Screech bathes in sand and goes to the corner loo. I had to retrain her to use the loo as she was going under her house as it is on stilts. I just put the substrate with wee on it in the loo and she has started to use it again.
Ginger loved digging in the sand and pees in two corners I think. I have put the tin in one corner, but if she continues to use the other corner, I will put it there and put the substrate in it.
Marvin has a loo and a sand bath and I have to clean his sand bath as he does pee in it. I dont think he uses the loo to go in. I am going to change the corners with the tubs to see if it makes a difference.
