It looks very small :? it looks less than half the size of my syrians cage.

thanks :) those are the Argos ones aren't they? I think I will wait then and get the one from babyboos, to be safe then I can buy another one if need be :)

The first cage looks alright for a young hamster in that it has nice solid levels and the sides appear to be barred for ventilation, with a nice deep base for them to dig around in but I would email the seller and ask for dimensions. Wonder where access is gained from? The second cages are okay too. Many hamsters live their whole lives out in these "Argos" style cages.

I'd go for something like this Ferplast Laura (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ferplast-Tube-Line-Laura-Hamster-Cage-RED_W0QQitemZ7715603094QQcategoryZ1286QQrdZ1QQcmdZ ViewItem) if you want a two level wire cage.
