im sad to say that yeseterday i went to check on the guineapigs and found dermot dead. he was ok that morning, but a few hours later he was gone.
He had had a heart attack :(

Im not sure why this happened, but i think it had something to do with his back genetics, he had a lazy eye and his spine was twisted so his head was always at an angle :/ I knew he wouldnt be around for as long as his brother, but i though we still had years together. He was only 2, much to young :/

He was such a sweet little boy, loved having his chin ticked and any form of food! and we all loved his crazy hair! :)

Sleep well little one, im so sorry you had to go so soon, you had so much life left to give. You will be missed so much, and ill miss your sqeaking for food everytime i open the fridge.

Oh no. :( I'm so sorry Gazmo, he was so gorgeous. He was taken far too young, but it was his time. I hope his brother copes and isn't too distressed by losing him.

Sleep tight piggieman. :( xxx

Awww Gazmo I'm so so sorry that Dermot has passed. You obviously gave him the best life possible and despite his bad genetics, you took him in and loved him unconditionally! Be proud of that. Hugs to you hun. It's never easy losing a beloved pet. Is his brother coping ok on his own? X

Oh no! He looks kinda like one of my boys, Pucca. He has been having issues as well, mainly dental. Rest easy at the bridge dermot, it looks like you had a great, fulfilled life, if a short one.

What a shock for you Gazmo, it can`t have been nice finding him passed away like that, really sorry for your loss. Guinea pigs are such chatty wee characters I can`t imagine hat it`s like to lose one.

Sleep well Dermot. x

Hi Gazmo. That is so very sad. Dermot looks to be an adorable little piggie. But it isn't surprising for him to pass on at a young age. Curvature, or twisting, of the spine can create all kinds of repiratory issues along with other internal organ interference in any mammal, including humans. So, chances are that poor little Dermot had some difficulties with some organ that became damaged over time. At least he was well cared for and loved by you. You are so right in saying that he left far too soon. Play well at the Bridge Dermot. :-(
