As some of you may know i am the proud mummy of Zak my beautiful Labrador. He is 12 next month and has arthritis.

We have been looking at ramps as we have a steep door that leads into the garden. Have been searching online for a while and have been struggling to find a ramp to fit as its an awkward size. So off to B&Q i went.

Here's the result. The fence is made from our old greenhouse shelves,The fairy lights round the fence are for when its dark so my baby can see. And the rubber matting from poundland I take no credit other than the idea, my mum built it. Cost around £40. Online they was well over £500. Here it is...

That ramp is amazing. So now Zak can get out better and Betsy has a new toy.

Fantastic idea Ickle! Well done your mum! ;) The rubber mats will make a huge difference. These are sometimes used in horse boxes to prevent horses slipping. Um....we need some interactive photos of you lad using the new ramp! :)

Wow! Ickle that's fantastic! :D

I know what you mean, dog ramps are sooo expensive aren't they! It's crazy.
You've saved loads of money and it looks great! Probably way sturdier than a commercial one anyway. :) x

Poor old man Zak will find it so much easier now, bless his cottons. xx

Great job, love the addition of the fairy lights too. Commercial ramps don't come with those I bet;)
