I'm going to Ikea on tuesday to pick up two Expedits to put the cages on and to get some KNUFF file things to make some shelves.

Are there any other things people would recommend from Ikea for hammies?? I remember seeing someone had a cutlery holder from Ikea made into a shelf but I can't find it on their website :(

Love a good trip to Ikea. Which expedit can you fit a barney on? x

I'll be getting 1 2x4 which two cages will be on, most likely the Kios and Hamster Heaven and a 2x2 one that will have one cage on it. There will be overhang but I don't mind. I may use some Command strips to secure the bases so that they don't slip, the velco ones so that I can take the bases off the Expedit when I clean them.

The depth of the Kios base is 34cm, the HH depth is 31. They're much smaller at the very bottom because of how the base slopes :D I'm hoping that the Barney is the same, if not... Rethink time!

Ahhh...IKEA...one of my favorite stores of all time! ;-)

These have been discontinued in the US (this one was given to me by Biscotti), but not sure about where you are. If not, this little cutlery stand is fantastic as a little hammy condo!

Also, I know I have seen jesselle use the wodden spice rack (turned sideways minus the bar) as a little platform in her dwarfs cage.

Have a fantastic time & don't forget to share all your great finds with us:-)

That's the stand I've been looking for! Don't think they do it in the UK anymore either :(

I might get that rack! Thanks :D

We have cookie jars from there as sand baths, they work well as closed baths for dwarf hams (stops them kicking sand everywhere) and as a little place for syrians to go too if they want to :)
