Clop-mouse

[Vectis Hamstery]

You may have seen my intro thread for my furries from Houten. Unfortunately one of my little feeder mice has scampered off to Rainbow Bridge before he got out of quarantine. He was Clop and was such a sweet baby mouse. He and his brother loved playing with their new toys and were so pleased with having piles of substrate to rootle around in.

I went to handle them this evening and found Clop unresponsive, cool and twitching. I held him for a time and he seemed settled (apart from what seemed like fits but he didn't appear aware) and he passed peacefully a short time later.

Run free, baby boy. I'm glad you came home with me - you had a short time but enjoyed the last week full of noms and toys.

I'm so sorry to hear he had such a short life. How sad that they don't have a great start or carry carefully bred genes to give them a long and healthy life.
