Does anyone know if papier mache is hammy safe please? Got an idea for the cage changes project xx

I think so. Look on the DIY thread and search papier mâché, people have made stuff before using it. I'm sure I've seen a discussion somewhere about its suitability.

When I've made stuff before, I only used lots of layers of tissue and water, nothing else. It takes a while to dry but once it is, it can be safely shredded and used as bedding.

The paper mâché "glue" is basically made of flour and water, but normally people use news paper, which has inks that can be harmful to hammies. If you were to use plain white paper (that hasn't been treated with anything) it should be just fine.

Thank you :) I was going to use toilet paper, flour and water :) Making new levels and want to make them a bit softer xxx
