Hi there

Me and my sister have 3 robo's and we are having great fun with them but I was wondering how often should you change the cage layout? Do they prefer to have their bed and food bowl in the same place so they always know where that are?

Also can you handle them too much? Atm they get handled about 2 times in the day and once in the evening. Should we only handle them at night?

Thanks for you help Victoria

Your robos seem to be having a great time with you Victoria. If they are happy to come out and are up and about during the day then it is fine to handle them. I am sure they are nice and tame now. I would tend to keep the bed in the same place but vary the position of their toys so theyironment have a stimulating environment. It is also a good idea not to use a food bowl as one can get a bit possessive over it and not share well. Scatter the food all over the cage and hide and bury food in the bedding and toys. They will love foraging for their food as that is a natural behavior and will keep them occupied. It will also ensure no-one is hogging the food and all get a fair share.
Welcome to the forum and looking forward to hearing all about them. Have you checked their sexes? It is very very common for pet shops to wronly sex robos. There are sexing pictures in this forum at the top.

I have just recently aquired 2 Robo girls - I am new to these dwarfs - I had a few syrians when I was a kid - but now I am 40 and they are my pets as I don't have any human kids. They are called Pixie and Trixie and they have the run of a masive cage

We have the Rotastack pink palace for them attached to the Rotastack pink maze cage. We also have a rectangle cage for them where we can put extra toys in for them http://youtu.be/DqNKyIVn9lI

They also have 2 balls to run in - my girls should not be bored hey

Hi Noodles. Just keep an eye on them as Rotastak, with its many compartments, is not ideal for groups as individuals can get territorial over certain areas they feel they have claimed for their own!

Thanks for that - Pixie does seem to like the external wheel a lot but they end up both in it. At the moment they are asleep together in the tube.
