I take out my plastic shelves and replace them with wooden ones, http://www.hamstercentral.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=5106, they're really expensive to buy (which I don't understand they're only wood?) but I've found an e-bay shop which sells all sorts of different sized shelves, thought I would let you know I think they're really good value http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370067024671&ssPageName=MERC_VIC_RSEE_Pr4_PcY_BIN_Stores_IT&refitem=350075618377&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=StoreCatToStoreCat&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget&_trksid=p284.m183&_trkparms=algo%3DDR%26its%3DS%252BI%252BSS%26itu%3 DISS%252BUCI%252BSI%26otn%3D4

What an amazing idea - thanks for the link Naomi!

You are quite right about the price of wood, I was suprised at the cost of it when I went into Focus and Homebase but I bought a couple decent sized shelves from Ikea for a couple of pounds each :P

All my hamster cages are made out of 'really useful boxes' so i'm not sure these would be compatible as theres no vertical support (legs) ?

That said, there isn't any in a barred cage either, so I don't think i'd have any problem :x

Going to have a look through their other shelves now thanks Naomi :D

I got some great things in the Ikea bargain corner bucket I think they were the fittings for a PAZ wardrobe for 50 p each! all Ikea's have a bargain corner apparently well worth stopping by if you get a chance

The smell of pine. Mmmm! I would like to find some free-standing ones for a vivarium... or ones with suction cups perhaps.
