We got Hunny at around a year old from a lovely lady who rescued her and her sister from a sad life where they had lived in tiny cages, had never been handled and didn't even have a wheel to play in. Hunny had recently had a litter of babies and was quite chunky she was also terrified of people. Claire at the little paws animal rescue did a wonderful job of taming her and she made a fantastic pet. She came out every day to explore the upstairs of our house and is the only hamster I have ever had who really loved a good cuddle. She would close her eyes and just sit in your hand and enjoy it.
The day before she died she looked a bit sleepy but still came out for an explore as usual. The next day she was dead in the living area, her eyes shut and looking very peaceful, she was nearly two but she'd been so well it was quite unexpected. We are so sad to have lost this gorgeous,sweet little hamster who so appreciated her massive cage and all her toys. We will always remember your beautiful face Hunny you were adored by every member of the family.
