I want to make my hammy's a playpen, (since heren in belgium I can't buy one) but the problem is that I'm not very handy, nor is anyone in my family. All the guides I read were extremely complicated, with drilling holes, cutting wood planks,...
I don't have any large boxes either.

So does anybody have an easy, nice idea for a durable pen?
If it could also be taken outside, that would be awesome, but that's optional.

I use my bath tub?? Not that you can take that outside but they cant escape and my little one loves burrowing through the towel on the bottom.

We only have one tub in the house, and that's inside my moms bathroom. She is quiet adverse to the idea, she freaked when i put my hammy on the kitchen table, when there wasn't any food aroumd!
Thanks for replying though.

You may find the thread on making a correx play pen interesting: http://www.hamstercentral.com/community/housing/6837-playpen-how-make-correx-playpen.html

I've just made my playpen out of empty cardboard boxes joined together by tubes. This way you can keep adding as many rooms as you like and won't cost you anything and you can just fold boxes put away when you are not using.

I made one like Tutu's, but my hamsters just destroyed it! Oh well. But I made a maze-like thing out of wood, and they love it! It was really easy to make, just nails and wood.

Tanks everyone. I ended up making one with cardbaord boxes. They love it! I even took the bottom out so they can enjoy the grass wen summer rolls around. Luckily they arn't dedicated chewers.

The wooden maze idea is cool too, i'll try to make one :P
