I thought it'd be a good idea to give Dusty her own thread :)

Dusty came home with me on the 28th July this year, and since then has been such an amazing ham! I couldn't have asked for another like her <3 She is so tame, loves a little cuddle and is hilarious to watch. She never fails to make me laugh or smile every day. Being bullied by her litter mates before I got her, evident by the small wound on her face and a dominant white hybrid chasing her round whilst 'buzzing' at her, I thought she'd be a shy, fearful hamster, but she's the exact opposite. I think she prefers humans to hamsters :lol:

She's had two cage upgrades- from a mini duna to a zoozone 1, and from that to an alaska. She continues to become more active with the extra space and some of her antics make me laugh out loud- she does the 'shark' (what I like to call it!), where she burrows under her fitch. The Fitch begins to move as she burrows around the cage and then she pops her head out wondering why I'm laughing :D Some of the faces she comes out with, like this:

Thankyou so much! Hehe, peanuts are her absolute favourite treats, she will do anything for them :lol:.

Her set up looks fab, Apollo is nuts for nuts too...his fav are pecans and monkey nuts! Think he just likes getting them out of the shells lol!!!

Hope you keep the thread updated with more pics, she is adorable! :)

Thanks Bec :D Glad you like the thread! I have to open most of the shell for her when giving her monkey nuts because she's too lazy to do it all herself :lol: I'll definitely keep the thread updated when I get new pics.

Dusty is just so damn cute!! :O I love her, she is so gorgeous. She reminds me so much of my Todd, it's scary!
They look so alike. He's a cuddly little digger too. :D

Petz4life, its a jar from asda which cost £1. You were close Munch! Little Todd is adorable, they do look creepily similar!! He sounds exactly like Dusty too, loves his cuddles :D

Dusty is really photogenic CreamSyrian. The camera you use is wonderful. The shots are sharp as anything. Dusty looks as if she could step right out of my computer. Her cage setup looks terrific! :-)

Thank you DrKMcK, you should see the amount of times it takes to get a decent photo! :lol: Its actually my phones camera (lg nexus 5). Thanks about her cage too, she enjoys her setup. I like the fact that Willow's tank has a more natural setup, while Dusty's cage is more colourful :D

Thought I'd do a new update on Dusty. Its been really difficult to get good pictures lately as she's such an energetic little girl when she's out and about :p

Anyway I got some fairly decent ones, which are below. She's doing fine, no problems and still the cutest, cuddliest girl :D I've been considering upgrading her cage, maybe to a zoozone 2 or a maxi duna multy, but I'm not sure yet. She seems fine where she is but I'm sure, like most hams, she'd appreciate the extra space.

Hehe Munch, she does have a whiskery face :3 Todd would love a barney (as long as he's not a bar chewer!) Its only £39.90 now too, so its went down since I got it. For that price I definitely go for it :D

Thought I'd do an update on Dusty. She's doing just fine and seems as good as ever. I did weigh her and she's lost a bit of weight, but she's still at a good 44grams (was 54). It seems that her more natural setup has actually made her more active, energetic and attention seeking :D
