Our lovely female Anophthalmic White died tonight. She was 15 months old. We had had her for the whole of her life born overnight on March 30th 2007 as a very big surprise but became a super little hamster who filled our hearts with joy. She could stomp around her house throwing her toys about even though she had no eyes or any hearing she would know we were around by vibration alone. A big hole has be left by the passing of our Gruntley, know as Piggling for most of her life. Goodbye sweet girl, play well on the bridge :cry:

She had a very long and enjoyable life. Most Anophthalmics don't reach their 1st birthday and have many hidden health issues, she did really well to get to 15 months. Thanks to everyone for their kind words :D

So sorry for your loss Batkat. You obviously gave her every opportunity and lots of TLC and it paid off with a long, enjoyable life with you. RIP little Gruntley.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. What she lacked in some areas she made up for with her zest for life and true character. She is an inspiration and she will live on in your memories. RIP Piggling. :(
