I'm looking for my durst hamster, and would prefer a breeder over a pet shop. I'm not sure how to go about finding one though. I've tried just a google search, and looked at the breeder list on here.

The breeders listed in the page on here appear to have moved websites or stopped updating, and google gives me nothing useful at all.

Thanks.

There are not many breeders in Scotland. The only two I can think of are Fiona Steel at Querceti in the Borders and an Northern Member who breeds the odd litter Natasha of Zem Hamstery who is in Anstruther in Fife.
There are a few pet shops I have had good reports of who breed their own baby syrians in Edinburgh if you look around the forum.

Unfortunately that shop seems to have closed at some point since that post. Thank you for the recommendation though.

aww that's a shame. Try garden centres and ask where they get their stock from and if they are handled before sale. Some getthem from hobby breeders. Sometimes people who have had accidental litters can have very nice hand tamed babies too if you look on free ad sites

Yes or you could get a pet courier to transport from another breeder somewhere else in the UK? Two of my pups went to London from Belfast recently for £80 which was good. If you choose a specialist animal courier there will be minimal stress. :)

Shame! Keep Looking, You Might Have To Resort To A Pet Shop Though :(
