Can hammies eat mushrooms? I have some and usually I'd give him some cucumber tonight, but none left, only mushrooms. I know they are toxic to guinea pigs, but what about hamsters? I've never tried giving any of them mushrooms before.

ive tried mine with mushrooms but they don't seem very interested , i cant say i blame them - they remind me of slugs :?

lol they all look like slugs when they cooked, even those posh ones ( look like posh slugs )

I've never really noticed... I will never look at a mushroom in the same way again! I can't eat prawns as they look like maggots :?

Do hammies eat prawns?

Ours will eat a little mushroom. I wouldn't give prawns though as they are a little salty really and not a natural food for hamsters though I have heard of people giving fish. We have never tried this though as we think it may make them a bit smelly. You can add a drop of cod liver oil to food for oldies.

we eat a lot of mushrooms and therefore always have them in the fridge or in our left overs which the hamsters always get -
never had any problems that I was aware of

We've never had problems feeding ours the odd slice of mushroom either to be honest :D

the robos didn't seem interested in mushroom, though alice my syrian seen to love them.
