How many do you have?

when did you first get them?

just to give other Chinese people a rough idea of who else out there keeps Chinese hamsters

anywhere between 10 - 25 at a time most i have ever had under one roof (only hamsters over 3 months) is 27

yes i breed Chinese hamsters, both colours but mainly normals.

i bought my first pair from P@H in jan 2006

Do you breed Chinese hamsters? nope, i had one p@h female and 1 rescue female

when did you first get them? i got the p@h one in Jan 2006. That's the one that's still here. The rescue died at just 1 year old

Do you breed Chinese hamsters? nope I doubt I would breed chinese even though they are cute.

when did you first get them? I adopted my first one from P@H a few months ago. the poor guy was there for over 4months and they said that he had been there always to me. I think I would only adopt or go to a breeder in future.

Do you breed?
Yes, I started in 2009 and breed to NHC standards. As a small hamstery, I only breed Chinese which I also show. Any non-keepers are carefully rehomed.
When did you first get them?
September 2007. I went into P@H for a hamster and they'd run out of 'proper' ones, so I got a Chinese hamster and a book.It was a bit of a learning curve in dwarf hamster care, but 3 years later my little pet shop boy is still going strong.

Remi was my first hamster, Baby came about a year later, and Stud is my most recent but my oldest :)
