Sorry I'm a bit late in writing this, but we lost our beautiful girl Poppy on Sunday morning. At over 2 years and 2 months, she had been gradually slowing down over the past few weeks, and then a week or so ago she was really struggling to get around, and we had found her in her forever sleep on Sunday morning, she had gone peacefully overnight. I sensed her time was near and said my goodbyes on Saturday night, and held her for a while. I told her how well her grandpups were doing and that it was ok for her to go.
I remember first having her delivered to me from Sparklyfluff (via a very helpful member of another forum), and she was so perfect, I loved her straight away. She always loved the camera, and I took many pictures of her, my favourite being the one that won the HOTM competition and I chose to be on the front of the first 'Hamster Mag'.

Poppy became a mummy in November 2011, to the gorgeous 'Dexpops' and was a wonderful mum.

She also had some adventures! escaping her cage and ending up on my desk somehow, and nibbled on a toblerone box (I think she got some of the chocolate too, but only a little bit). She was found safe and sound inside another box, again no idea how she got in there :)
Sweet dreams Poppy, you've had a wonderful life, and will live on through your grandpups x
