He is not selling livestock merely his male chinese hamsters' "services" I cannot see anything in eBay rules against this - I looked so I think he will get away with it :!:

I looked also, it didnt seem to say anything about hamsters.. strange.. I wonder if they changed the rules or if its different from the usa?

Still I think its a bad idea, I mean are they just going to give the hamster to whoever wins the auction, for all they know they are going to feed it to a snake, I just think there should be a bit more responsability in finding it a home, I dont think I could ever just auction off an animal like that.

You may be right although he seems to want to meet up rather than let them have his male chinese hamster/s :?:

Babyboos, what is the equilivant of the price in American Currency? :x

You have to be carefull what you read.At first it makes you think you are paying for "stud" services, then turns around and pretty-much says that you are buying the hamster. It would be different if you were knowingly buying one of the 2 Chinese hamsters, or buying ONLY stud services. I have nothing against breeding hamsters, but he's pretty much giving it away to a person who may not even know that their stuck with the hamster. It's ashamed what **** people will come up with to get money.

Oh well, I guess at least nobody has made a bid YET....

I've already ranted about this. The seller said she's only offering stud services, not the hamster. It's still a rubbish idea that could cause unwanted and neglected litters though if you ask me

I actually don't think this is that bad....I think it's a poo way to arrange stud services and is unlikely to come to anything (I certaintly wouldn't look for a stud on ebay) but I don't think it's going to cause unwanted and neglected litters any more than any other way of breeding hams.
