R.I.P Cosmic

I have just joined because we lost our special little guy today. I found out about this forum from the friend who bred the hamsters litter that Cosmic came from. He was my son's first pet and I had never had a hamster before.I was surprised how quickly I became attached to him, a lovely ginger Syrian hamster, a really friendly little guy who loved to play...My son doesn't want to consider getting another one just yet but my husband and I are keen to have another.:sad:

Very sorry for your loss... We do get attached to those little critters... and you'll find people to understand you here... Take time to grieve and your son, with time, might find himself ready to open his heart to another little hammy that will be searching for love...

Thanks for all your messages, we are thinking of getting a 'family' hamster, so my son doesn't think we are replacing Cosmic (not that we would be)...hoping to find a breeder nearby, my friend who gave us Cosmic as a baby knows of a couple nearby, so maybe in the next month or so we might have a new little guy.
