Squishy the gentleman

Long time no see, and I'm sorry to come back only to share bad news.
This evening I found my precious boy had slipped away in his sleep, nearly 2 years and 5 months old.
I'm going to miss this little man more than I can express, he's been one in a million. A wonderful brother, husband and father in my hamster family and I've been so blessed.
But it was his time, he'd grown frail and lost weight in these past few months, with a growing lump on his stomach to increase my worries. I'm so thankful he passed away here, it really was the best I could ask for.

Thankyou for all your kind words :) I feel his death marks the beginning of some tough times ahead, with most the hamsters getting on or suffering from health problems.
But he's left me with good memories and I see him in Merry and Robin each day x

I am so sorry for your loss. Squishy was a character, and so very cute. I remember reading about him and his brother and following their photos. Then he met Roo... and then all the adorable babies! He had a great family and a life filled with love. May he roam at the Bridge in perfect happiness.
