My Hamster house :D

my summer prodject is finally done :3 well the first one is! this is for puffle :3
it is made out of dowls and wood glue, and I will be getting some paint to cover it, but Im loving the natural theme for this so ill see with the next few :3 hehe

he is, dad says he looks like Dumbledore, and mum thinks he looks like an old man :L but yet he has a baby face :P hes so sweet :D

to be honest when I got him I wasn't supposed to, and dad was angry until he saw him :) now he gives him cuddles when im out XD

I had a hamster who was nicknamed Dumbledore! :D My Basil. He was longhaired black, but as he got older he went a bluish grey, and looked like a hairy old grey man. Hence Dumbledore. :L

I love my hams. Even though I'm not supposed to have any, I just can't resist!

I so want one of these! have you thought about extending them so the step bit could be a bridge and connect to another 'tower'? If you have some time you could maybe expand your range and make a whole 'play castle' so when the hams are out and about they can play and explore in their own little world. The 'toys' on the market at the moment are really poorly constructed and clearly not built by anyone who cares about hammies welfare!

I've taken a couple of quick pics - they are a bit dark as his hammock blocks the light a bit! I've still to glue the ladder back on (got damaged in transit, nothing to do with the actual house which is FAB!) and I'll put some Fitch on the top for him but the verdict is.......he LOVES it :D He is still sat on the top surveying his kingdom :mad: The Jeffro pose seems to be catching on :mad:

I thought that too lol. Wish I'd thought of it for mine! Magnum will only wake up if he thinks he's being fed and if you make the mistake of putting food too close to his house he sticks his face out far enough to grab it then disappears back in again and you can hear him chomping away :-)

You have made a lovely job of your hamster houses Gazmo, they are very `bespoke` and individual to the hamsters. Even just the ramp ladders with the little paw prints sold on their own would be a lovely addition to any cage. :) You could make the ramps in different lengths and widths for anyone looking for a ramp only? ;)

Me and my sister love these houses, they are great! Fab idea Gazmo! Can everybody who has made them or has them, post some pics please? Our dowels came today from amazon and my sister has started to try to make hers, she is finding it a bit tricky getting the dowels to stay together when they are wet! :-) Fingers crossed they will turn out ok for our dwarfies.
