Bin cage: What to cut cage bars with?

I'm looking to connect my hamster's Savic Cambridge to a bin cage that I made. I have to cut the bars of the cage and attach a connector.

I have the connector and tubes but I was wondering what to use to cut the bars of the Savic Cmabridge. The space between the bars is about 1cm.

We'd just use the wire cutter part of our pliers. Works nicely on cage bars :)

Thanks guys. I've tried using the wire cutter but it didn't work for me. But I wasn't probably applying a lot of strength. I'll get hubby to try and see if that works. If not I'll get tin snippers.
