I wanted to confirm through peoples experience & stuff what substances are the best & safest binding agents when your making homemade hamster toys for example is pva glue safe etc
And what binding agent you can use & leave the toys with them unattended.

I've used pva glue to make platforms and fences and have had no problems :)
I've used PVA glue on things I've made for my Robos. I do however always try and use as little as I can get away with and neither of my girls chew on anything any way.

Yep, PVA glue here too! A hot glue gun also works, but you have to be pretty quick with it as it sets in seconds:p If whtever it was were supporting something though, say legs for a shelf, I'd use screws as their obviously going to be stronger than glue.

I've used hot glue on most of my stuff, I find it easier than waiting for PVA to dry, but you do have to be pretty quick! I suppose it depends on what you're using too, I found that hot glue was stronger for heavier things, like jenga blocks!
