Tube Chewing

My Russian Dwarf hamster chews the cardboard tubes until they are completely gone for a long time. It can be as much as a whole tube in a day. Does this mean that he is bored?

I dont think he will be bored, my female russian will destroy toilet roll tubes all day, she loves it, and then makes a new house with the bits of cardboard. She will go through about 2 a week.

I agree, I think they just enjoy the chewing and it keeps her busy! You'll just have to get all your family and friends to save their loo roll tubes for you Kayti :lol:
