It seems that I am writting in this section far too soon but yesterday I helped my little baby Buzz to the bridge by taking him to the vets.
He had been battling with a horrible skin condition that could not be cleared for about 6 months and was pretty much bald. He also had a suspected stroke about 4 months ago and became very wobbly on his little legs which got worse and worse over time but he managed to stay happy nether the less and enjoyed his life with his brother having loads of treats and showing no signs of pain.
His brother passed on a few weeks ago and slowly Buzz went more downhill. He was really struggling to get anywhere and could no longer walk in a straight line. He also fell on his back a lot and struggled to get righted again.
On friday I realised that he had had enough of fighting his illnesses and I hope it was the right decision. He still seemed quite happy and was eating like a porker but he just couldn't get around and his skin had started flaking and bleeding a little. It was really hard at the vets but I hope I caused him less suffering this way. I prefer the vets at home and I doubt he could have coped with the stress of driving back to uni.
I dont have any recent pictures as Buzz was looking horrible, even though i know he didn't feel it. He really soldiered on through life and made me realise that you can still be happy in life even if you get sick. But old age catches up with you and now he is happy and playing with his brother.
I will really miss both of my beutiful boys. They were amazing pets and really touched my heart. I am so glad they lived to pass their second birthday. I will never forget Buzz and Gusgus xxxxxxx
