View Full Version : Hamsters in Quarantine

I currently have 2 hamsters with me that are being quarantined away from my other hammies.

They are both in seperate rooms from each other, and I am being VERY careful with the sterilising and handling of them, so there is no way that I am passing anything between anyone.

How extreme do I need to be with this?

I am keeping them just in the rooms that they are in, and am doing all the handling etc away from the other hams too.

Would I be ok bringing one into the same room as the others (nowhere near the cages...about 10 foot away?) to handle them? I'm getting lonely sitting in rooms alone :(

I'll do whatever I need to do to keep everyone safe, but I thought I would ask, just incase

I would keep up what you are doing now Louby. It's not long really and it will give you peace of mind. You'd never forgive yourself if one did have an infection.
